CONTROL Resonant PC system requirements, file size & install guide

Official CONTROL Resonant PC specs: GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT minimum, RTX 3070 / RX 6700 XT recommended, 16 GB RAM, 100 GB SSD. Steam Deck supported.

CONTROL Resonant runs on PC with full Steam Deck support and needs about 103 GB of free space. It also supports DLSS 4.5 and ray tracing. The one gap: Remedy has not yet published the minimum and recommended PC specs, which are marked “TBD” on Steam and Epic.

The official specs are live on Steam and Epic. A 64-bit processor and operating system are required.

How much storage does the game need?

Remedy recommends a 100 GB SSD for PC, and the official spec tables list 100 GB of available space. Expect the final number may shift slightly.

Does it support Steam Deck?

Yes. Remedy confirmed full Steam Deck support at launch via an official FAQ (June 2026). The verified/playable badge process is expected to follow once live.

Can you play it on Mac?

The Mac version (via Steam and the App Store) launches later in 2026. The Windows PC release is the September 24 one; if you are on macOS, wait for the later Mac release.

How do you buy and install it?

  1. Buy: from Steam, Epic Games Store (PC), PS Store, or Microsoft Store (Xbox). Pre-orders are open.
  2. Pre-load: open since August 25, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S (~81 GB) and PC (~103 GB). PS5 pre-load timing is not yet announced.
  3. Download: ensure you have ~100 GB free on a fast SSD.
  4. Install and play on Sep 24 (or Sep 22 with PS5 Deluxe early access).

You must be online for the digital launch. Physical disc buyers get day-one updates preloaded in the October disc.

What graphics and performance tech is supported?

  • Ray tracing + DLSS 4.5 support confirmed (Steam/news coverage).
  • GeForce NOW enables cloud streaming.
  • Remedy’s Northlight engine powers the game (GPU-driven rendering, per Alan Wake 2 tech direction).
